This notice explains what information SteadyCode (Steady Code Limited) collects when you visit steadycode.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it simple because we do very little with your information.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you use the contact form or leave a comment, we receive your name, email address, and the message or comment you write.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our server and our analytics tool record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the date and time. This does not identify you personally.
- Cookies. See the Cookie Policy below.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, we do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Why we use it
- To reply to your message or comment.
- To keep the site running and secure, and to filter out spam.
- To see which pages are used so we can improve the site.
Who handles it
We share information only with the services that run the site for us:
- Microsoft: hosts the website (Azure) and carries our email, including replies to you (Microsoft 365).
- Automattic: Jetpack and Akismet check comments and form messages for spam and make site backups.
- Google: Google Analytics reports on site usage, and YouTube serves the videos on our pages.
- Termly: runs the cookie consent banner.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if the business is sold or transferred.
Cookies
Analytics and video cookies are loaded only after you allow them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie preferences link, and you can set your browser to block or delete cookies. Details are in the Cookie Policy below.
How long we keep it
Contact messages and comments are kept until you ask us to delete them. Routine server logs and backups are kept only as long as needed to run and protect the site.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to remove a comment you posted, by emailing info@steadycode.com. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, since there is no common standard for them.
Children
This site is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@steadycode.com and we will delete it.

If we change this notice, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses a few, listed below. Cookies for analytics and videos are loaded only after you allow them in the cookie banner.
Strictly necessary
- Cookie banner (Termly): remembers your cookie choices.
- Hosting (Microsoft Azure,
ARRAffinity): keeps your visit on the same server. - Site session (
PHPSESSID): lets the site function while you browse.
Analytics (optional)
Google Analytics (_ga, _gid and similar) tells us which pages are visited and how people find the site. It does not identify you by name.
Videos (optional)
YouTube (VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC) sets cookies when you play an embedded video, such as on the SteadyAudit page.
Your choices
